Flight Safety Dialogue 2024 – Exchange of experience and knowledge among pilots and pilots

  1. On Thursday, April 11, 2024, the Flight Safety Alliance Switzerland (FSA) will hold its first “Flight Safety Dialogue” as an online and live event.

Program: High practical relevance to everyday aviation
At the Flight Safety Dialogue 2024, a pilot, a flight instructor and a skyguide controller will use a simulated flight to demonstrate how good flight preparation and correct behavior when flying can help to avoid tricky situations from the outset. Chrigel Markoff from the Swiss Hang Gliding Association (SHV) will show us where there are critical points of contact between GA and hang gliders, and an aviation weather expert from MeteoSwiss will give us tips on meteorological briefings. The FOCA also addresses the topic of airspace violations, the new 2024 airspace structure and formation flying, which is currently a trend among GA pilots but carries considerable risks.

Take the opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas
Around 100 seats are available on site at the headquarters of the Swiss Aeroclub (AeCS) at Maihofstrasse 76 in Lucerne. The event starts at 6 pm. The Youtube-Livestream via will be announced around a week in advance with an invitation. Neither registration nor login is required for online participation. Whether on site or online, questions and discussions are expressly encouraged! If you are there live, you will also have the opportunity to talk to the speakers from Skyguide, SHV, FOCA, MeteoSwiss and AeCS at the aperitif afterwards. The German-language event will be broadcast and recorded on video and will later be available on various channels.

Register now! (Fully booked, only online participation possible)
As the number of places is limited, we ask you to register in advance at Flight Safety-Dialogue 2024. There are no parking spaces available at AeCS at Maihofstrasse 76. We therefore ask you to travel by public transport. Please also note the information on how to get there when registering. Flight Safety Alliance Switzerland (FSA)
The Flight Safety Alliance Switzerland (FSA) was founded around a year ago. In addition to FFAC, Skyguide, FOCA (staysafe), AeCS and AOPA, more and more organizations active in aviation are now participating. The aim of the FSA is to create a broad network in order to establish a continuous flight safety process for GA pilots and professional pilots without an AOC. From improving cooperation between skyguide and pilots to the use of training opportunities, there is a broad spectrum of ways to improve flight safety without creating new regulatory requirements.
