{"id":5246,"date":"2024-11-05T15:20:28","date_gmt":"2024-11-05T14:20:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staysafe.aero\/?p=5246"},"modified":"2024-11-07T08:19:06","modified_gmt":"2024-11-07T07:19:06","slug":"neue-webseite-einflugberechtigte-uls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staysafe.aero\/en\/neue-webseite-einflugberechtigte-uls\/","title":{"rendered":"New website: Authorized ULs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a9 FOCA<\/p>\n<p>As in many other European countries, foreign aircraft in special categories \u2013 including ultralight aircraft (ULs \u2013 require a special permit to use Swiss airspace in order to enter and fly in Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>Which 3-axis controlled microlights can apply for a special permit to operate in Swiss airspace?<\/p>\n<p>The new website that went online on October 14, 2024: \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bazl.admin.ch\/bazl\/en\/home\/luftfahrzeuge\/hb-aircraft-register--overview-of-procedures\/microlights-entitled-to-fly-in-switzerland.html\">Microlights entitled to fly in Switzerland<\/a>\u201d provides information on this. The continuously updated list includes 3-axis microlights certified to LTF-UL or BCAR-S for which a special permit to use Swiss airspace can be issued.<\/p>\n<p>With a valid special permit from the FOCA, an accepted microlight may be operated in Switzerland for a maximum of two months per calendar year.
