De cette mani\u00e8re, l\u2019appareil, commandes crois\u00e9es, fend le vent lat\u00e9ral, compense le mouvement lat\u00e9ral de l\u2019air par rapport au sol et son nez reste align\u00e9 sur l\u2019axe de la piste. Simultan\u00e9ment, l\u2019action sur le palonnier permet de maintenir l\u2019avion inclin\u00e9 par rapport \u00e0 la piste.
