Airspace changes for 2026, effective from 19 March 2026

Once again this year, the Swiss Aero Club (AeCS) held an airspace webinar in German, French, and Italian. It provides a good overview of the latest changes to the Swiss airspace structure for 2026, particularly the new instrument southern approach to Runway 32 in Bern and its impact on general aviation, as well as the status and changes regarding the TMA/CTR Zurich. It also contains a wealth of information for glider pilots, particularly in the Jura region (LSR29/33).

The new Swiss airspace chart 2026 (ICAO 1:500 000) will come into force on 19 March 2026 and incorporates significant adjustments, particularly in the Bern airspace (Runway 32 IFR), the Sion CTR and the Zurich TMA. Published by Swisstopo (in collaboration with Skyguide), this chart is mandatory for VFR navigation and is also available in digital format.
