Flight Safety Dialog 2025: Bitte anmelden

On Thursday, March 27, 2025, the Flight Safety Alliance Switzerland (FSAS) will hold its second “Flight Safety Dialog”. After its premiere in 2024, this year’s event will take place at Skyguide’s air traffic control center in Wangen near Dübendorf. There are 50 seats available. The event begins at 6 p.m. and will be livestreamed and recorded. During the subsequent aperitif riche, which is being hosted by the organizers, there will be an opportunity to exchange ideas with each other and with the speakers.

Program: Safety – from concept to everyday aviation
This year, we have included various topics from the gliding sector that are of interest to all aviation participants. Prof. Alfred Ultsch, an enthusiastic glider pilot and flight instructor himself, will present the concept of Safety II to us. This concept can easily be transferred from gliding to motorized flight clubs or smaller flight schools. Maxime Petitpierre, Safety Officer of the Swiss Gliding Association, will present the safety work in the association, seconded by Andreas Duppenthaler, gliding instructor at SG Basel/Fricktal. He will show, using two practical examples, how the safety strategy is implemented in the day-to-day work of the association. Skyguide’s Melanie Streit will present the problems of visibility in airspace E from the perspective of the tower. Short presentations are planned so that the motto “Let’s talk about safety” can apply to all participants.

Please register!
For organizational reasons, registration at aeroclub.ch/flight-safety is required for on-site participation. The link for online participation will be published approximately three days before the event.

Flight Safety Alliance Switzerland (FSAS)
The Flight Safety Alliance Switzerland (FSAS) was founded around a year ago. In addition to FFAC, Skyguide, FOCA (staysafe), AeCS and AOPA, more and more organizations active in aviation are now participating. The aim of the FSA is to create a broad network in order to establish a continuous flight safety process for GA pilots and professional pilots without an AOC. From improving cooperation between skyguide and pilots to the use of training opportunities, there is a broad spectrum of ways to improve flight safety without creating new regulatory requirements.
